Hey everyone! This is the first issue of Ship/It Starter Kit!

Every week I’ll build and deploy a FULL open source app I’ll send you with all the code. You can use this app ANY way you want. You can use it for yourself, build on top of it, customize it or even start selling it! (Full code repo and 1 click deploy below).

I think the biggest challenge people have when it comes to building is ideas. They wait for the perfect idea. With Ship/It Starter Kit you won’t have to worry about ideas. I’ll send you a new one every week you can use however you’d like.

The App: AI Meal Planning

For issue 1 I built an AI Meal Planner app. It’s a full meal planning app where you can enter in any ingredients in your fridge or pantry, hit a button, and an AI will build you out a recipe. You can then save the recipe to be used later if you’d like. All you need to do to get it fully working is to pull down the code and add an OpenAI API key to the .env file (if this is confusing for you ask Claude Code to help out).
